Service Description
The Grand Canyon of the PA, Creeks, sweeping vistas of the Grand Canyon of PA. This will be a 31 miles backpack with a night of front country camping in order to cathc a shuttle at 9am. Elevation changes are generally moderate and vary from relatively flat and gentle to short, steep, rocky pitches. This retreat will allow for resilience-building conversations and activities to reflect on experiences we will encounter on the trail. Our retreats are immersive, therapeutic retreats in nature that help you connect mind, body and spirit. Rating: Moderately Challenging because of terrain – terrain will consist of some steep ascents and descents throughout. Because of the cumulative mileage of this trip, it is best for regular exercisers who are capable of carrying approximately 30+ pounds on their back for 8 hours per day. Price includes first night of front country camping and the shuttle fee. A Fitness Level of 6 is needed for this retreat. Best for women who have some outdoor experience or have come on a prior retreat and would benefit from extended time in the backcountry. This retreat pushes beyond comfort zones into a deeper well of strength. “How Deep is Your Well?”—it’s about discovering the reserves of resilience you didn’t know you had. Together, we’ll explore how physical challenge becomes a gateway to emotional healing, mental toughness, and spiritual grounding. Be ready to push yourself and test your grit. Inclusive of: Includes Gear, Expert licensed guide (guide carries, water filtration, cooking, first aid, GPS emergency communicator, and provides food storage), shuttle service, and 1 night of front country camping, logistical support including shuttle and resupply drop, 2 prep calls, 1 after trip processing call, training plans, recovery and nutrition tip sheets, 1- personalized coaching session, a journal, and trauma and recovery informed therapeutic activities to help you process and build resilience through the physical, mental, and emotional challenges of long days on the trail! Not included: Food This trip will run with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 in order to ensure the health and safety of all guides and participants. If the minimum has not been met 3 weeks ahead of trip, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements if the minimum is not met. Cancellation Policy
Booking & Payment: A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your retreat space. The remaining balance is due six (6) weeks before the retreat. Late payments may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit. Payments are accepted via credit card, ACH, or another approved method. Cancellations & Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel on or after the balance due date, all payments are forfeited unless otherwise agreed in writing. Trip-cancellation or travel insurance is strongly recommended. Pre-Retreat Requirements: Participants must- Attend prep calls or request an approved alternative. Complete a 30-minute onboarding/coaching call. Submit all required medical and health forms on time. Provide a doctor’s clearance if requested. Maintain the necessary fitness level for participation. Failure to meet these requirements may result in denied participation without refund. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver: Retreat activities (hiking, movement, outdoor skills) involve risk. By registering, you assume all risks and release Deep Rooted Wellness & Creatives, LLC, its owners, and staff from liability for injury, illness, or damages except as prohibited by law. You consent to emergency care if needed and accept related costs. Medical & Emergencies: Disclose all relevant health conditions, medications, and allergies. You authorize emergency care and are responsible for any medical or evacuation expenses. Code of Conduct: Respect facilitators and fellow participants. Follow all safety guidelines. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal without refund. Confidentiality & Photography: Group sharing is confidential. Photos/videos may be taken for marketing; to opt out, notify us in writing before the retreat. Organizer Cancellations: If DRWC cancels or postpones due to low enrollment, unsafe conditions, or events beyond control, you may choose a full refund (including deposit) or credit for a future retreat. DRWC is not responsible for travel or incidental costs. Insurance & Taxes: Participants are responsible for obtaining travel, health, and trip-interruption insurance and paying any local fees or taxes not included in the retreat price. Governing Law: This policy is governed by the laws of New Jersey. Disputes will be resolved within New Jersey’s appropriate courts.
